Hello Everyone,
This is an early proof of concept (Far From Final Product) for a project I have been conceptualizing for a while now, with the main goal of raising awareness for PTSD & Service Member Suicide.
I aim to do this by exposing civilians and families of service members to how disorienting, stressful, and terrifying combat & military life are. It is meant to be an accessible way to raise awareness through immersion, and the experience of veteran's stories/experiences.
This may seem stupid, or pointless, or ineffective at first to some, but there is a significant amount of promising research into helping mitigate PTSD in service members using immersive digital media such as video games, Virtual or Augmented Reality, and association of smells, sounds & other senses in an attempt to help those suffering address their stressors in a safe and controlled environment.
If you, or a loved one, are a veteran or active service member struggling with PTSD, please seek help. There are many resources available that you or another may not be aware of. You are NOT alone.
