Word up, with the end of the year getting closer, we've been starting a bunch of new games. The next on the list that we'll be starting is Final Fantasy 11: Online (!?!?). Yes, this game actually isn't dead, shockingly. Despite coming out 22 years ago in 2002, Square Enix is still somehow keeping the servers on and running, and they don't see it as self-competition with FF14. That is crazy. In fact, just last year in 2023, they got a content update, and there are still in-game events and even cross-over events that are happening. Since I completely missed this one back in the day, and had assumed (wrongly) that I missed my chance to experience this one, let's give this one a go!
This is the retail/Steam version of the game on the official servers, and is NOT the private Horizon server (although I hear really good things). This is on the Bahamut official server, with Bastok as the starting town. Joining me will be friends of the channel, Reila and CollectedG, and make sure to give them a follow, as they're really cool dudes:
