Today we'll be starting a new game where we end the tetralogy of the Phantasy Star series. We'll be looking at Phantasy Star 4, what many consider to be the best in the franchise. This one was released in Japan in 1993, and didn't come out on the Sega Genesis in the west until 1995 (?!?!) which, while around the same time as Mario RPG, is still when the PlayStation 1 was released, as well as the Sega Saturn. That's pretty crazy that Sega released such a major game for a prior console when the follow up was still out. It just goes to show how much staying power the console from 1988/1989 still had. Anyway, we'll be playing this game on the Sega Genesis Mini console. Wish me luck, and let's go!
