[The Count] Tales of Phantasia (SNES, Translated) {Part 13}
3Starting yet another game! This time we'll be doing another classic JRPG (Can we still use the term JRPG? I guess we can say "light RPG" or "Story-Driven RPG", if you really want a different term) that started a long running, still going franchise. This is Tales of Phantasia for the Super Nintendo, or if you want to be proper, "Teiruzu Obu Fantajia" for the Suupaa Famicomu desu, OwO senpai. This one never left Japan until a terrible Game Boy Advanced port, which is one of the reasons why some turn their noses up at it. Others turn their noses up at the admittedly edgy, try-hard translation (although it's pretty good most of the time). The others who turn their noses up at it are Tales fans, oddly enough, who expect a 1995 SNES game to hold up to entries from 10-20 years later. Anyway, I've found this one is actually very good and very ambitious. Let's see if it can maintain its high quality throughout. Wish me luck, and let's go!
