[The Count] Ys Book I & II (TurboGrafx-CD) {Part 2, End of Ys 1}
5Let's start an action JRPG. We'll be looking at the first two Ys games for the TurboGrafx-CD / TurboGrafx-16, which was the PC Engine CD in Japan. This was a 1990 release in the US, originally released in 1989 in Japan, as one of the first home console RPGs with voice, red-book audio, and full motion video due to the early adoption of the CD technology. This is a compilation of the first two Ys games - "Ys I: Ancient Ys Vanished" and "Ys II: Ancient Ys Vanished – The Final Chapter", which were released initially on proprietary Japanese home computers in 1987 and 1988, so these games are truly ancient, along with Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest being one of the earliest JRPG series that is still going strong 10+ entries later. Anyway, interesting history tidbits aside, this is my first time playing this game, so let's get to it! Wish me luck, and let's go!
