76Japanese cars are on the rise in The Crew 2 and you love to see it. Mazda have another unexpected entry among their ranks: the RX-3. Originally named the Savanna, this Grandfather of rotary-powered sports cars was meant to be a less-taxing alternative to a regular 4-cylinder car. Who would've thought that it would come to The Crew 2 alongside a custom Supercharged Edition variant and debut as the game's newest and fastest Street Race car ever!

Handling: Below Average
Handling: when driven gingerly or with sensitive analog inputs, the RX-3 feels somewhat sublime. When trying to drive it in a violent manner or with noticeable digital inputs, it's a bit of a handful, and it's worse if you're driving the Motorpass Exclusive Supercharged Edition. In general, the RX-3 feels light and has ok steering, but even with the wide fenders, it does exhibit some body roll in tough corners. More so, it's more prone to oversteer than the other Mazdas, especially if you don't manage its throttle carefully. It's worse if you're driving the Supercharged Edition because even though the car looks like it has wide fenders installed, it handles as if it doesn't (more body roll, more understeer, less grip, less stability, etc.), which I hope the devs can fix in the future because that kind of gives us a false pretense.
Performance: Street Race cars when fully upgraded have a top speed stat of about 226 - 228 MPH (364 - 367 KMH). This car has a top speed stat of 241 MPH (388 KMH), the highest of any street race car, and that is well replicated as this car, which can hit well over 250 MPH on its own, with its strong nitrous as an addition, is the fastest ever Street Race car, even toppling other prospects like the Eclipse Star Edition, the Gallardo Superleggera, and many others. The Supercharged RX-3 is a tad slower top speed wise, but not by much, meaning it's one of the fastest Motorpass Exclusive Street Race cars we've been given (at least on tracks with long straights).
Conclusion: at Temecula, this car beats out the reigning king, the Gallardo Superleggera by almost 1 full second. At Eagle Falls, it's only a couple of milliseconds behind the GT-R NISMO which is still in first for now, but what an addition we have here. Not only is this the new Street Race King of Speed, but it's the fastest classic Street Race we've ever been given as well as the first car ever where the driver sits on the right side instead of the left, which it should be because it's purely Japanese (if only they would do the same to the Skyline GT-R, the Fairlady PS30, and the RX-7 FD3S)
