36Here it is, ladies and gentlemen: the car we content creators will be using for the Grand Crew challenge. Pontiac are growing ever so prominent in this game, and it's a sight to see, but it would be an even greater sight...if this car was even fast enough to compete.
Top Speed: Average
Acceleration: Below Average
Nitrous: Below Average
Cornering Speed: Average
Handling: rather composed for an old muscle car with body roll here and there, probably why it also feels a bit high up. Both the standard and the Golden Wings versions handle just about the same in the corners even the standard car has wide fender options and the Golden Wings version doesn't come with wide fenders at all.
Performance: as it stands, the '77 Firebird T/A will be the slowest new car we've seen in this game in a long time. The car has poor acceleration and equally poor nitrous strength. If you're racing at Ace Difficulty, you may find yourself having some issue outrunning the AI, which isn't that much of a problem for other cars. That's how slow it is.
Conclusion: near the bottom of our leaderboards this thing. In fact, this car will make you appreciate the '82 Firebird T/A a lot more as that car accelerates much faster, handles much better, and has much stronger nitrous. Yes, it's a newer car in terms of actual age, but it was in the game long before this older '77 Firebird T/A came in, and honestly the '82 is just an all-around better car.
