The Crew Motorfest is an open-world racing game developed by Ubisoft Ivory Tower, Ubisoft Kiev, and Ubisoft Bucharest, and published by Ubisoft. It is the third main installment in The Crew series and is set in a scaled-down version of the island of Oสปahu in Hawaii. The game's primary focus is on a festival theme, which serves as the central hub for players to access various events and activities.
The gameplay in The Crew Motorfest is similar to its predecessors, emphasizing multiplayer features such as crews and online multiplayer modes like the "Grand Race" and "Demolition Royale." The main mode, "Playlists," consists of a series of staged events, side activities, and challenges organized into themed playlists. As of September 2023, fifteen playlists are available, each with unique themes, such as vintage cars, Lamborghini, and collaborations with influencers like Supercar Blondie, Liberty Walk undefined, and Donut Media.
One of the key new additions to The Crew Motorfest is the "Main Stage," a live-service mode that features a monthly theme with limited-time rewards. Players can earn experience by participating in weekly events and unlocking various timelines, such as the "Revisit," "Racing," and "Explore" timelines. Completing these timelines unlocks the "Legend" timeline, which contains its own set of exclusive rewards.
Another notable addition is the "Summit Contest," a weekly-themed contest that revolves around a sub-theme of the main stage theme. Players compete in nine challenges spread across six races and three feats to earn points and climb the tiered ranking system, from Bronze to Platinum. The top 10,000 players with the most points receive exclusive prizes, including limited-time Summit-exclusive vehicles and titles to display on their in-game name.
The player with the most points at the end of each week also has their name carved into a star in the Festival Tent, which is visible to all players. The "Custom Show" is another weekly event where players can showcase their customized vehicles based on the weekly Summit Contest theme and compete for rewards. Finally, like its predecessors, The Crew Motorfest requires a constant internet connection to play.
