31Longplay of The Dark Mod, a free open-source spiritual successor to Thief series, running on a modified Doom 3 engine (idTech 4), an FPP stealth game, focusing on being a Thief first and foremost, meaning no violence and killing (at least it's shunned and not rewarded), and a lot of burglaries and robberies. It was first released in 2009 exclusively for the PC, and updated ever since. This here is version 2.09 64-bit, from the second half of 2021. Played at 1080p60 resolution, nearly-highest possible details (it still ran poorly, very), and recorded at 1080p60 H.264 NVENC via OBS. THIS IS AN ALMOST 3 YEARS OLD RECORDING, FROM MY OLD HARDWARE. Recording's quality is pretty bad due to that.
Walkthrough of the only two OMs (Official Missions) included in the 2.0 version of the game, pretty basic and tutorial-like: A New Job, and Tears of St. Lucia. They are both very good introductory missions to the engine and world of The Dark Mod.
And I don't think I have to say it, but: The Dark Mod is absolutely brilliant, it's one of the best Total Conversions gone standalone ever. :)

The Dark Mod is a free and open-source software first-person stealth video game, inspired by the Thief series by Looking Glass Studios. The game provides the basic framework and tools (engine, assets, models, and editor) for more than 170 fan-made missions, including several multi-mission campaigns. The Dark Mod was first released in 2009 as a total conversion mod for Doom 3. Version 2.0 was released in October 2013 as a standalone game using the open-source id Tech 4 game engine, as per wikipedia.
The Dark Mod takes place in a classic gothic steampunk world. This includes a crossover of elements of fantasy, the Late Middle Ages, the Victorian era and the Industrial Revolution. Although set in a very similar world to that of the original Thief series, the mod does not use any of the original Thief intellectual property.
The player is an agile thief in a hostile world. He has to use his equipment and the environment to avoid guards, traps, creatures or other threats. His equipment includes a blackjack, water arrows, holy water, flashbombs, mines, and more. Since the player has only a limited fighting capability, he is supposed to sneak and hide in dark, mostly avoiding combat. The plot and mission goals are set by the author of the fan mission or campaign.
