Little Hope was developed by Supermassive Games and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment as the second out of eight planned standalone horror video games in The Dark Pictures Anthology.
The game is played with a cast of five protagonists in a multilinear narrative influenced by a playerโs choice. The several decision-making scenes within the game significantly alter the plot direction and can change the main character relationships, which can lead to any of the five protagonists dying permanently.
Little Hope is a fictional town, located in Massachusetts, where the game takes place. Little Hope follows the five characters (four college students & their professor) after their bus crashes in the fictional town. The five characters find themselves unable to escape Little Hope due to an impenetrable fog. While they explore Little Hope, which they find is deserted, all of the characters are chased by demons that closely resemble themselves and the specific way the Little Hope townspeople died during the colonial era.
Little Hope was released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 30, 2020. The game was later released on September 27, 2022, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
