I never played Starbreeze's original The Darkness (2007), and given the sequel's gore-focused marketing I didn't expect this shooter to start off with quite as much story and character interaction, which this video only shows a small part of. The game is still very much an excessively violent and traditionally linear FPS as far as I understand - without the loose hub structure which distinguished its predecessor - but it's interesting to see how Digital Extremes (...of all studios!) have actually chosen to invest valuable development time in more than just the manshootery bits.

Also, how is that *not* the guy from Prey?
