The Debug Mode Code in Prince of Persia (SNES) - Retrogaming Easter Eggs
644The Super Nintendo version of Prince of Persia has a secret cheat code that allows you to access debug features like a level select and life manipulation.
Enter the password SPCCMD! then hit OK then CANCEL.
Back out at the title screen, start a new game. Then pause the game and press B, Y, Up, Down, Left, Right, L, R. You will hear a sound effect.
Now unpause, and hold START and press SELECT. This brings up the Debug Mode! You now have access to a Level Select, and you can increase your health with the Boost Meter option.
You can also press the X button at any time to defeat the enemies on screen. This can yield some strange interactions during the final boss, but it still usually works.
Plus there's a sound test, but that's available even if you don't use the debug code. Just hold Start and press Select during normal gameplay.
