The moment in Doom 3 where sh*t officially hits the fan. Released: 2004

I know a lot of people don't care for Doom 3 but I've always been fascinated by it since I first saw screenshots in magazines back in the day. I didn't have a pc that could run it at the time so I ended up waiting for the XBOX release.

It did not disappoint and I loved the more horror driven take on Doom. It does have a lot of cheap jump scares and monster closets but that wasn't as cliché at the time. The main attraction for me is the spooky atmosphere that is slathered on nice and thick.

I do a fresh playthrough every few years. I have a lot of good memories playing this with my cousin Tony. I own way too many versions of this game including the BFG edition on multiple platforms, the original PC release and XBOX version.
