The devs are wrong about the BNP nerfs... | Dead by Daylight
In the latest PTB, the developers acknowledged that the BNP or Brand New Parts have a very strong effect and proposed a change that would seemingly reduce their effectiveness by about ~12.5s. However, if you test it yourself, you'll see that the difference between the pre-nerf and post-nerf BNPs will actually be closer to ~4 seconds. Please feel free to ask any questions or point out any mistakes you think I might've made during these tests and calculations.
Why are the developers wrong about the 22.5s number? The best theory suggests that while a BNP does indeed repair 22.5s worth of a gen, it also takes 5s to do so. So in total, it saves 17.5s. With some strong toolboxes, the BNPs waste the normal repair bonus of said toolbox and thus give diminishing returns, which would explain why they only save 14s with a commodious.
