Wow, today's sudoku seems to completely baffle Simon! We'll be interested to hear whether he's just being a bit slow today or whether this really is quite a difficult puzzle. One thing's for sure this is a VERY clever construction: it's called Killer Ambiguity and it's by Abed Hawila. You can play it at the link below:

Rules:
Normal sudoku rules apply. In each cage, at least one of the following conditions must apply: the sum of the digits is a square number (ie 1,4,9,16,25,36); and/or the sum of the even digits equals the sum of the odd digits. Digits cannot repeat within a cage.
