The first tank build provides a perfect balance of survivability and damage. When you combine the heartbreaker gear set with the memento exotic backpack, you gain access to multiple sources which increase your bonus armor significantly and provide damage buffs in the process. With this being a tank build list, we’re going to be prioritizing survivability over damage which is why I'm using the Future Perfect talent on my police M4 assault rifle. A similar trend you’ll notice with each of the tank builds on today’s list is they all utilize the crusader shield. This build in particular takes advantage of the skill tier buffs from future perfect to increase the potency of your artificer hive which repairs your shield very quickly overtime. This feels incredibly powerful when you achieve max stacks with the memento which adds 30% skill efficiency boosting your repair skills, skill haste and duration with the artificer hive. You also can’t forget about the kill confirmed memento trophies which stack your bonus armor and weapon damage with each trophy you collect. With the right strategy you can play off of these trophies by collecting them in strategic ways to help you push groups of enemies or even stack bonus armor whenever your base armor gets low. This build has 3 skill tiers which means after 3 kills with your Police M4 you’ll be able to always maintain 6 skill tiers during combat thanks to future perfect. This means your artificer hive will always provide maximum skill efficiency. In addition to the skill tier 6 buff, you’ll also be able to overcharge your skills every 90 seconds making your shield indestructible for a short period of time. Thanks to the heartstopper talent on the heartbreaker gearset combined with the MAX BPM talent on the chest piece, we can easily achieve 100% extra bonus armor and 100% extra weapon damage at max heartbreaker stacks.
The second tank build puts survivability at the forefront. When you combine the Foundry Bulwark gear set, the forge named holster and artificer hive, you create an unbeatable setup that can withstand tons of damage from multiple enemies at once. This build currently has 4 armor cores and 3 skill tiers which synergize incredibly well to give you 100% extra shield health, active regeneration for both your shield and armor, as well powerful repair skill capabilities to make you and your shield feel indestructible. The foundry bulwark gearset offers incredible perks for your agent. You gain 10% additional armor, 1% armor regen, 50% extra shield health and the Makeshift repairs talent which repairs 35% of your armor and your shields health every 5 seconds thanks to the improved materials and process refinery talents on the chest piece and backpack. Foundry Bulwark is built around survivability making it the perfect gear set for a tank build. To further increase the power of your shield and artificer hive, we’ll be utilizing the forge named holster which provides 20% incoming repairs as the 1pc bonus and 50% extra shield health which will allow you to withstand even more damage.
The last tank build combines armor on kill, bonus armor stacks and 130% extra weapon damage to create one of the deadliest tank builds in the division 2. High DPS is achievable on this build and this is thanks to the Strikers battle gear gear set. One of the strongest DPS gear sets in the division 2! One of the best weapons to use with strikers at the moment, is the Exotic Ouroboros SMG which can only be obtained from the Paradise lost incursion. With nearly 1700 RPM, you’ll be able to stack your strikers gamble stacks incredibly fast and shred through enemy health bars in the process. To achieve an even greater damage output, I’m using the strikers chest piece which comes equipped with the press the advantage talent that increases max stacks for striker's gamble from 100 to 200 stacks. Doubling the amount of damage you deal to enemies. You’ll also be able to stack kill confirmed trophies from the memento exotic backpack while stacking bonus armor and increasing your weapon damage and skill efficiency in the process. Once you reach max stacks with strikers gamble and kill confirmed you’ll immediately notice 30% increased damage, armor regen overtime and a buff to your skills. To take the survivability even further, you combine the gunner specialization with the death grip named gloves to add 20% armor on kill to the build.
