Dean Takahashi of GamesBeat plays The Division 2's latest expansion, the Warlords of New York. Ubisoft held a preview event where journalists were able to play a couple of hours of the game. The story is set in New York City, the place where the original The Division took place. It is about eight months after a devastating biochemical attack. While The Division was answering the distress call in the nation's capital, a rogue Division agent, Aaron Keener, took control of lower Manhattan, with the help of other rogue agents. Your job is to take the city back. This is Dean's first crack at playing the expansion, which was playable at a preview in San Francisco.

The expansion begins with The Tombs, a in which you have to chase down an agent who is skilled in hacking. This video reflects a lot of combat in the mission, and it has been edited. Ubisoft allowed no more than 45 minutes of footage, and it required the gameplay be edited in chunks that are no longer than 15 minutes long. We have done our own hands-on story about the expansion, as well as an interview with one of the narrative leads, Cloe Hammoud, for the expansion.

Am I a bad shot? Yes, I don't get nearly enough headshots. I should switch weapons more, and remember to use my extra weapons. But this gives you an idea of what the gameplay and the general environment of he game is like.

Here's our interview with Hammoud.
