THE DOOM ETERNAL EXPERIENCE
3WOW.... JUST WOW. I CAME INTO THIS WITH LOW EXPECTATIONS FROM WHAT I HEARD OF THE GAME BEING MORE DIFFICULT AND STRATEGIC.......... GOD AM I GLAD I AT LEAST TRIED IT.
I got this game for free with Amazon Prime Gaming so it was worth a shot anyways!! MAN, the gameplay in this one SURE IS MUCH MORE STRATEGIC. WHETHER IT BE BY WEAK POINTS, STRONGER ENEMIES, MORE MECHANICS, LOW AMMO AND MUCH MORE. I actually love the whole switching guns for certain enemies with certain weak points because instead of turning my brain off with 2016, each arena feels new and fresh.
The story isn't that bad either!! Of course, it's nothing super duper awesome but it's interesting enough to follow and present enough to keep the plot moving. My ONLY negatives with this experience is the unnecessary cutscenes after fights or opening up passageways, and the fact that this game tries to do SO MUCH. Now overall, I think it does a great job from separating itself but, the simpler and more focused design of 2016 I think gives an overall better experience.
Nonetheless this is a SOLID 9.5/10. THIS is the game I'll be jumping back into every once in a while. If I end up playing the DLCS, I'll probably just do em during my free time non recording.
NOW DOOM THE DARK AGES ON THE OTHER HAND.....EXPECT A VIDEO FOR THAT 100%. Took me a year to play Eternal after 2016, so most likely next year I'll jump into Dark Ages!!!!
