The Door Glitch to Skip Area 8 in Bionic Commando (NES) - A Wild Glitch Appears! #shorts
1,217In Bionic Commando for the NES, there's a weird glitch you can perform in many of the game's doorways that will allow you to trick the game into thinking you've entered another area when you have not. Often this glitch is simply called the Door Glitch, but some people might call it a wrong warp or even the room storage glitch. In this example, I will show you how to use this trick to skip most of Area 8.
Once you've entered Area 8, head straight up from the starting point until you see a doorway on the left side of the room. Enter that room and defeat the crazy missile robot inside this corridor.
What we want to do in this corridor is trick the game into thinking we've entered the door on the left when we have not. The easiest way to do this is to hold the Up arrow as you approach the door. Then, stand in front of the doorway while holding Up (without going through the door).
Now press the A button while still holding Up so that you will launch your bionic arm straight up into the ceiling. Release the Up arrow and tap the Up arrow again just as your bionic arm attaches to the ceiling. If you've timed it right, you'll hear a sound effect indicating that you've just entered a doorway, but you will not transition to the next room.
Now, turn around and enter the door on the right - the one we came from. If you've done everything properly, you will be warped to the boss room, which essentially allows you to skip the majority of this level.
There are other ways you can use the door glitch aka the room storage glitch, so I might show those off at another time.
