Jagar Tharn is a traitor who betrays the emperor. He assumes the Emperor's identity and place on the Throne. A lone prisoner must go to Tamriel's most famous and dangerous sites. To get the Staff of Chaos he must collect shards of the staff scattered around the world.

Arena was the first game in the The Elder Scrolls series. It was released on floppy disk, and then later on CD-ROM. In the CD version, there were digitized audio and some videos.
