In this chapter, Elen completes the second stage of her stronghold as she secures a steady source of income for her new land from a nearby egg mine. While waiting for the workers to finish construction, she finds the time to complete the last missions for The Temple, diligently carrying out all the Pilgrimages and ultimately becoming Patriarch as Tholer Saryoni goes into comfy retirement to concentrate on writing his sermons. Later on, she visits Crassius Curio and Duke Vedam Dren of House Hlaalu to carry out her last assignments for that House, finally becoming Grandmaster. And in the middle of all this business, she still has time to help out occasional strays, such as curing a reckless barbarian from a paralyzing spell, saving an unfortunate husband from Nix-Hounds, and escorting a trader and his pack Guar to the safety of Vivec.
