Back in 2011 AMD were readying their first in what would be a long lineup of APUs; processors that featured on-board Radeon graphics designed to be able to run the latest games without the need for a discrete GPU.
Around this time, Intel had already launched the i3 2100 at a similar price point, but it seems that they decided they wanted to compete with this upcoming AMD launch, so they introduced a new (ish) entry level processor...
