I'm running an MSI Radeon 6950 2GB card with the Radeon 6970 BIOS and clock speeds.
Notice how with the 6970 BIOS and clock speeds, the 6950 actually performs the same as a stock 6970: https://www.techpowerup.com/articles/overclocking/vidcard/159
Note: I'm running at ~1-5 FPS (depending on the area) less than usual due to recording with Dxtory.Also keep in mind, the reason why I used the FPS unlock and nothing else was to provide an accurate benchmark, but also keep it close to how the game was intended to be played.
This game is definitely well optimized on the GPU side... still don't know about the CPU side, but my card performs better than the 8th gen consoles, which the GPU performance is nearly the same. If this is a console port to PC, it's a good one. If you want to play the game it was intended, a mid range card is more than enough.
