HOO BOY THIS IS A LONG 'UN, ow my throat at the end of that. I even warmed up and had water ready.
Anyway! The Eye in the Abyss is probably my favourite piece of League of Legends writing so far - it addresses a lot of the criticisms I've had for League's lore writing so far and does a fantastic job of using characters to ground some of the more abstract ideas of cosmic horror and the threat of the Void and the religious zeal of the Frostguard tribe in a way that makes them approachable to a reader. I have some nitpicks because, haha don't I always, but MOSTLY this turned out to be just a straight read-through with occasional stops rather than a bloated complaining rant like the Jinx lore update video back in the day.
I don't do super long-form videos like this one very often, so if you'd like to see more of them, be sure to support them with the like-button and maybe a comment or something. They're rather draining to do if I'm honest.
