Join us as we make our way through a blind let’s play of Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. The Sacred Stones will be our eighth game in our journey through the entire Fire Emblem series.

A standalone game separate from other Fire Emblem continuities, the story of Fire Emblem The Sacred Stones follows Eirika through the continent of Magvel. Her homeland invaded and brother’s status unknown, she must fight back against the forces of darkness in this world and discover why her family’s long-time friends have turned to war.

And so we will continue making our way through the entire Fire Emblem series blind, with the next game in our path being Fire Emblem The Sacred Stones. The journey has been long and hard, starting with Path of Radiance, working our way through Blazing Sword and Binding Blade before making our way to the remake of the first game of the series, Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon and its sequel New Mystery of the Emblem. The last of which proved to be perhaps the hardest game in the series. And now we play a game I’ve been anticipating for years now, the eighth entry in the Fire Emblem series, Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. As always, this will be a blind playthrough. The Fire Emblem series has been great fun and I can’t believe it took me so long to get into the series. This will be my eighth installment in the series (funny enough, coinciding with its own release order). For those of you who are new I’m playing through all the Fire Emblem games completely blind. This series has become one of my favorite tactical RPGs, and I’m really looking forward to this blind playthrough of Fire Emblem 8. This will be a ironman when I feel like it playthrough. That is, I reserve the right to resurrect characters who die for whatever silly reason I come up with, such as I just like them too much, but I may also let them die on a whim (usually if I decide it is too much effort to keep them alive). We will also be playing on the highest difficulty because I am a madman, and it has sort of become a tradition for these playthroughs even though they’re blind playthroughs. I’ve heard that this game is actually one of if not the easiest games in the series (at least when comparing the highest difficulties), but I suppose we’ll see. After experiencing the nightmare of H5 in New Mystery of the Emblem, I’m ready for a nice relatively relaxing ride through a great game.

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones is a tactical RPG developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo. It’s the eighth installment in the Fire Emblem series and will be the first standalone game in the series that we play. As with previous installments in the Fire Emblem series, Fire Emblem 8 gameplay revolves around positioning your characters on a gridlike battlefield and defeating an opposing enemy force. Just like all other Fire Emblem games, if characters are defeated in battle, they’re removed for the rest of the game. The story of Fire Emblem The Sacred Stones takes place on the continent of Magvel and follows the character Eirika after the Grado Empire invades her homeland the Kingdom of Renais. What happens next? I don’t know yet silly, this is a blind playthrough.

Fire Emblem The Sacred Stones was published in 2004 for the Gameboy Advance. The Sacred Stones was the second entry in the Fire Emblem series released outside of Japan and was the final to be developed for the Gameboy Advance. The game began development alongside Fire Emblem Path of Radiance. It was directed by Sachiko Wada, Taiki Ubukata, and Kentaro Nishimura.
