The Festival Of Ice | Stardew Valley History Talk Farm. Winning the Ice Fishing Contest
Stardew Valley is an indie farming simulation role-playing video game developed by Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone and published by Chucklefish. The game was released for Microsoft Windows in February 2016, with ports for OS X, Linux, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One released later that year. A Nintendo Switch port was released in October 2017, with a PlayStation Vita port in May 2018.
In Stardew Valley, the player takes the role of a character who, to get away from the hustle of an office job, takes over their grandfather's dilapidated farm in a place known as Stardew Valley. The player manages their character's time and energy levels as they clear land, plant and tend crops, raise livestock, craft goods, mine for ores, and engage in social activities, including romances leading towards marriage, with the various residents of the small town, all while earning in-game money to expand their farm

Welcome Everybody To HISTORY TALK FARM!
History Talk Farm is here to answer all your history related questions while playing some Stardew Valley in the background! :D
The Festival of Ice takes place on the 8th of every Winter. You can attend the festival by entering Cindersap Forest between 9:00AM and 2:00PM. When the festival ends, you will be returned home at 10:00PM.
The festival features ice sculptures, snowmen, and igloos. There's also an Ice Fishing Contest you can take part in along with Pam, Willy, and Elliott. You must catch at least five fish to win the competition. The first time you win, your prize is two tackles (a Barbed Hook.png Barbed Hook and a Dressed Spinner.png Dressed Spinner), a Magnet.png Magnet Bait, and a Sailor's Cap. Thereafter, winning nets you Gold.png2,000g, which, however, the game does not count as earnings.
The holes in the ice are quite small, so it can be difficult to cast into them. Standing immediately next to the hole and casting a minimal distance is easiest. It is possible to catch fish outside of the frozen lake, but these fish do not count towards the competition.
The festival ends automatically after Mayor Lewis judges the fishing contest.
On the day of the Festival, every home and shop in Stardew Valley is "locked" and cannot be entered.
We shall be playing some Stardew Valley and in the breaks answering all your history related questions! Welp trying to ;) Can you guess the BS?!
