The first time I ever saw Sailor Chibi Moon. (And Hawk-eye)
1So back in 1997, DiC was botching Sailor Moon with heavy edits. So my first exposure to Rini was unpleasant. She was rude and her voice was so annoying!
Then I spent three hours downloading an AVI clip from AOL Shareware, and I discovered that she was going to become Sailor Chibi Moon and I groaned. I couldn't believe this was the daughter of Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask. Where did that pink hair come from? And those evil red eyes, is she inbred?
But then I finished Sailor Moon R and started reading the manga, and my nasty attitude took a 180. Chibiusa is actually tougher not just in power than I originally thought, but emotionally too. Here she is, this repeatedly neglected princess with the world constantly crashing around her, tasked with saving two different timelines and with becoming a Sailor Guardian with a perpetually stunted body, and she has to do all of this with a smile. I totally had her wrong!
Now I really appreciate her, so I just look back on this clip in awe.
