The Flame in the Flood: Complete Edition
The Kickstarted survival-adventure indie-darling, The Flame in the Flood will be coming to PlayStation 4 next month, according to developer Molasses Flood. The game, which originally launched last year exclusively on PC and Xbox One, will be getting deluxe treatment; The Flame in the Flood: Complete Edition comes packed in with Directors’ Commentary, a dynamic theme, system avatars, and “gameplay enhancements.”
In an interview with DualShockers, Molasses Flood’s CEO/Co-founder Forrest Dowling detailed these enhancements — essentially the game will be released at parity with the PC and Xbox One version, with all the updates since the game’s launch. Players can expect a smoother experience and less technical problems that popped up sporadically at launch.
The Flame in the Flood started as a Kickstarter project a few years back from AAA veterans starting a new studio in Cambridge: Molasses Flood. A collection of employees from developers the likes of Irrational, Harmonix, and Bungie, the Kickstarter was an overwhelming success — eventually raising nearly double the funding price.
As mentioned above, The Flame in the Flood is currently available for both PC and Xbox One — the Complete Edition on PlayStation 4 has will be released next month, January 2017, and it will be shown off this week at PlayStation Experience.
