DC and Warner Bros are going back to the drawing board with their Flash movie. Variety has learned that Warner Bros. has tapped writer Joby Harold to do a page-one rewrite of The Flash script. The movie has been on hold since ever since it lost its director Rick Famuyiwa so Warner’s decided that while it waits to find a replacement, the studio will take the script in a different direction. That direction remains to be seen as does whether or not it will make its release date that is currently set for June 27th, 2018.
THR reports that Naomie Harris, a recent Oscar nominee for supporting actress in Moonlight, has signed on to star alongside Dwayne Johnson in Rampage, New Line Cinema’s adventure film based on the 1980s video game of the same name. The movie about a transformed gorilla, crocodile and wolf wreaking havoc in North American will feature Johnson as an animal-loving hero who is the world’s only hope in stopping the destruction. Harris sparked to the fun tone of the script and decided to star opposite the Rock as a geneticist with a moral streak. Rampage is set to release in theatres on April 20, 2018.
