In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the NES, there's a funny and kinda useless glitch you can do in the final battle against Shredder. If you can get it consistently, it's a real easy way to cheese the last boss.

For whatever reason, this glitch only seems to work with Michelangelo, but if he is equipped with the Single Shuriken sub weapon (as opposed to the Triple Shuriken sub-weapon) he can throw one at just the right height against the top platform and it will get stuck in place.

A consistent setup I found is as follows: Switch to Michelangelo and equip the shuriken. When entering the final boss room to fight Shredder, fall straight down onto the top platform when you spawn. Then walk - don't jump - to the platform to the right, then walk off the left edge and continue holding left. When Mike's chin is lined up just above the top platform on your left, hold left and hit B to throw the shuriken.

If you timed it right, that shuriken will be spinning in place. Now simply stand somewhere near the right side of the room and Shredder will repeatedly run into the floating shuriken.

You'll even see the shuriken change colors when Shredder starts to explode!
