Being able to play PS1 games on the PS2 or GBA titles on the Gamecube via the GameBoy Player was damn near revolutionary back in the day, but with the technology we have now, will new consoles maintain backwards compatibility, seeing as some of them are either doing it in weird ways or not at all now? What does the future hold for backwards compatibility? (And yes, for cartridges digital ports obviously make sense.)
