The Gall of It - Analyzing WOTC's Virtual Tabletop Policy in the OGL 1.2
This morning I sat down to analyze the Virtual Tabletop Policy that Wizards of the Coast included in their OGL 1.2 draft yesterday, and I'm just sort of shocked by the gall of it. Assuming that they have some sort of right to dictate to the world what VTTs can or cannot be, or what they are allowed to include in their offerings.
It's just another case study of a company that is trying to gobble up everything and anything with its gaping maw. As much as they are trying to be the protector of "offensive" content with their OGL 1.2 language, they are attempting to be the savior and protector of the virtual tabletop evolution.
Yeah, no thanks. I'm pretty happy with Fantasy Grounds. Others like their Foundry VTT or their Roll 20. Good luck trying to force third parties to conform to your rules.
