Julius Caesar, a prominent figure in Roman history, had a notable life leading up to the Gallic Wars. Born in 100 BC into the patrician Julian clan, Caesar quickly rose in the ranks of Roman politics and military. His early career was marked by a combination of astute political manoeuvres and military prowess.

In his youth, Caesar's family was entangled in the turbulent politics of Rome, aligning with the popular faction against the optimates, the traditionalist elite. His aunt married Gaius Marius, a famous general and leader of the Populares, which significantly influenced Caesar's early political affiliations.

Tonight we will learn about Caesar, his background, youth and how the Gallic Wars came to be. Our flight will start in Rome departing Urbe Airport LIRU. From here we travel to Cisalpine Gaul. We make stops at Pisa International LIRP and Florence Airport LIRQ before arriving at Turin-Aeritalia Airport LIMA for a full stop landing.
