The Game Awards is corporate advertisement at this point and the theme was interesting.

The majority of big AAA games felt like generic crap while the handful of good announcements were from smaller developers.

Part of this is because many of the games that will come out next year, like they did this year started developed during the peak of identity politics in 2020. It's too late to change course on these which is why Naughty Dog's new game looks so hopeless as an example.

Anyway, a handful of smaller games to look forward to while most of the juggernauts including even From Software managed to disappoint.
