Welcome to Episode 18 of The Game Boy Challenge and today we're ascending Bugs Bunny's Crazy Castle. I have some experience with both this version and the NES version, but have never beaten either. Today I'm going to see if I can change that.

A couple of things I forgot to mention in the video. First, the graphcis and music are amazing for a Game Boy game. The graphics look great and the music is every bit as awesome as the NES version. Second, after clearing or dying in a stage you can choose to see a video replay. Not sure why you'd want to, but you can. Probably why I didn't mention it.

A couple of quick notes about when I discuss level 72. First, you'll notice the footage will speed up a bit now and then. In a couple of past videos I've mentioned that the Game Boy emulator that the Raspberry Pi uses has a speedup function which I can use by hitting one of the triggers on my controller. I only use this function to speed up things like death animations that normally take several seconds, or occasionally in this game when going through a very long pipe, especially when I'm playing a level that's already starting to annoy me and I just want it over with.

Second, I mention that when you go down stairs you'll take a small step forward at the bottom and if that touches another set of stairs, you automatically go down it as well. Apparently that only happens with certain steps, namely the ones that have Xs in the middle of them if that makes any sense. Not sure why only those types of stairs do that, but it's another thing that makes level 72 the worst level in the game by far.
