33The beauty of horror games is being able to dig through the layers of deeper meaning, and SFB Games’ Crow Country is a perfect example. I fell in love with this indie title pretty quickly thanks to its retro art style, but there’s a lot more going on under the surface.
This video will dive right into all that stuff, with full spoilers. Make sure you play the game for yourself first! Once you have, you’ll have a greater understanding of that shiny, shiny gold and all of its implications for the deeper themes.
To play Crow Country, you have a bunch of options. The game is available on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo consoles, as well as PC. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys Dino Crisis, Silent Hill, Resident Evil, and the like.
