Why Dragon Age: The Veilguard Changed Its Name
A few months before Dragon Age: The Veilguard was set to release, it lost its previous name; it was originally known as Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. This short explains why, and the reason is pretty straightforward.
When the name change was announced, developer BioWare said it was due to a shift in development focus. The story and companions became “the heart” of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Since they are quite literally the guardians of the veil that stands between Thedas and The Fade, the game name reflects this.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Fans had to wait a whole decade after Dragon Age: Inquisition to finally play it.
