Silent Hill 2’s Man In The Mirror
Silent Hill 2 begins with James Sunderland arriving in the titular town. As he walks around the rest stop, he takes a moment to stare into the mirror. This moment has stuck with me ever since I played the original PS2 game.
To state the obvious, this moment is more than just James looking at his own reflection. It's an examination of his soul, which is then followed by an immaculate horror game experience that takes the symbolism much further.
Getting your hands on the original Silent Hill 2 these days is tough. Fortunately, you can get a comparable experience with Bloober Team’s remake. That's available on PlayStation 5 and PC.
