I spent an entire Rust wipe building a wall from the top of the map, all the way to the bottom, straight through the middle to completely cut the map in two. It took almost 1.5 million wood and 65 hours over 5 days on an official vanilla server. I started by buying a few pure ore teas from a shop that was selling them, which increased my farming yield by 150%, then I headed out and farmed a LOT of stone. With the stone, I used the shop in outpost to convert it to wood and then crafted the walls. I placed tool cupboards along the entire stretch of walls to ensure that they wouldn’t decay, and on the roads where I couldn’t place walls, I used bases that had turrets in them to stop people from crossing. There were plenty of people who weren’t very happy with the wall, including a group of neighbours that lived in the forest nearby. However, unfortunately for them, I was doing a lot of farming this wipe which meant I had plenty of sulfur for explosives to finish my wipe with a huge raid on their base. And that’s why…
