The Guardian Legend - NES (1988)
1This one has always confused me. I've had this before, but I never got engaged when I fired it up originally. Each time I play it, I see something new and it sort of reminds me of Blaster Master in most ways. I never go into it with the questing mindset, though, which involves actually paying attention to the map and goals. This has been where I have kinda failed, because you can't just throw yourself into it expecting a shooter. It takes some adventuring, too. I suppose that means that the dual-gameplay system is a pro and a con. It mixes things up, but the two styles don't quite match. So as far as giving this a fair shot, you won't get it from me yet. I don't know enough to form an opinion. You won't be lacking in thoughts on it, though...it's heralded as a hidden gem.
