The Hobbit (2003) 3 unused Beta areas (Never seen before)
3 unused beta area from the game "The Hobbit"
1- in the third level "Trollhole" has a unused version of the trolls bonfire place. By going behind a wall of rocks in the very start of the level will you be able to make your way to this beta section. This area has alot of invicible walls, so be carefull.
There is nothing else than just the area itself, but a pretty cool place to explore.
2- In the normal playable level "Overhill & Underhill" Bilbo has to collect some firewood for one of the dwarfs, but when he find it a rock breaks and Bilbo slides down to the actual level. But if you performs a little trick that allows Bilbo to get teleportet back up again you can slide to the original beta level. At least a part of it. The beta level stops when a rock closes the road and Bilbo wont be able to go any further.
3- This one is in the level "A warm welcome" in the cider house's wine cellar a wine shelf has a hidden room behind it. The room has a blocked off door and seems to be unfinished because some crates Bilbo can climb actualy makes it possible to jump outside again (As seen in this video)
In the playable level Bilbo opens another wine shelf by placing wine bottles in a correct order to open it and the unused room with the blocking wine shelf in front of it seems to have been used in the same way, but just stays as unused.
I show you how to enter each beta area in this video too, but if you have any questions just ask!
ABOUT THE HOBBIT A prelude to the Lord of the rings - Xbox, Gamecube, Playstation 2 and PC
The Hobbit is a 2003 action-adventure game developed by Inevitable Entertainment for the GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox, by The Fizz Factor for Microsoft Windows and by Saffire Corporation for the Game Boy Advance. It was published by Sierra Entertainment. In North America, the game was released on in November 2003. In Europe, it was released for the Game Boy Advance in October and for all other systems in November.
The game is a licensed adaptation of J. R. R. Tolkien's 1937 novel The Hobbit, and has no relationship with the Peter Jackson-directed The Lord of the Rings film trilogy. At the time, Vivendi, in partnership with Tolkien Enterprises, held the rights to the video game adaptations of Tolkien's literary works, whilst Electronic Arts held the rights to the video game adaptations of the New Line Cinema films. The game sticks very closely to the plot of the novel, although it does feature some minor characters not found in Tolkien's original.
