The Horror of Gostoc's Missing Arm | Elden Ring Cut Content + Lore
3,264Gostoc the gatekeeper is one of the earliest, and, arguably, most memorable characters that can be found in Elden Ring's first area, Limgrave. Yet, despite his infamy for tricking the tarnished into leaving behind runes for him to collect, Gostoc was once much more important to the story and lore of Stormveil Castle and Limgrave's legacy.
There's a surprising amount of cut content for Gostoc, including connections to the removed Dreambrew questline and dialogue about Vyke, the Festering Fingerprint. But, in this video, we'll be focusing on why the developers chose to design Gostoc with only one arm, a mystery that can be unraveled by datamining unused audio files.
