My tenth video of The Impossible Game 2! I have been playing Geometry Dash on and off for about 7 years now and I am currently ranked #70 on the In-Game leaderboard of Geometry Dash as WKGames (an account which I started about 2 years ago). Considering the massive influence GD has had on my life, I felt I should pay some respects to the game that inspired GD: The Impossible Game. The team at FlukeDude Limited has been developing the sequel to this game for about 12 years now and they finally released it on March 4, 2022. I am excited to see the improvements they have made to the original.
In this video I show a complete play-through of the bonus challenge level of World 2: Dark Sheep with checkpoints disabled. After the nightmare of Stardust, the bonus challenge of World 1, this level was a very pleasant surprise. Despite being much harder than Stardust, Dark Sheep manages to be far more fun with a massive variety of gameplay elements. It perfectly blends all the gimmicks of World 2 into one massive challenge level. Unlike Stardust, the difficulty of this level comes from a variety of elements rather than just triple spike spam. This level is very intimidating as the first checkpoint from 1:09 to 1:21 is pretty brutal even for me. In fact, the gameplay remains very difficult with lots of triple spikes and rapid gun shots all the way until 25% at 1:54. The part at 1:33 with the rapid moving obstacles is one of my favorite parts of the level, it feels impossible at first but once you learn it you can do it every attempt and it is very satisfying. At 1:58 there are some tight gun timings which are very creative. The jump at 2:28 can be pretty precise. Once you get to 2:37, you get the first and only break part of this level with an easy short boss fight. Around 3:10 the difficulty picks up again with some tricky gun timings and precise jumps. My worst death was at the 68% triple spike at 3:16. Everything from 3:54 to the end is very intimidating and choke-able and I am very grateful I managed to fluke it. In particular, the 93% jump at 4:04 is much more precise than it looks.
Overall, this level is incredibly difficult but it is very fun if you have the skill to pull it off. I would estimate that it would be a harder medium demon / easier hard demon if it were in Geometry Dash. Expect to die in the first 25% mainly as it is far more difficult than the rest. If you are a beginner, I would recommend skipping this until you are much more comfortable with the game. If you are experienced, I recommend giving this level many practice runs until you can consistently do it in under 10 attempts in practice. My first practice run took 342 attempts but I managed to beat it after a few hours so don't let the level intimidate you too much. I am very excited to see the remaining challenge levels and gameplay gimmicks that The Impossible Game 2 has to offer. :)
