Of the 3 games in this series so far, Pillars of Eternity is the quintessential Isometric RPG. Divinity Original Sin is not so much an Isometric game, but more of a classic RPG, while still being important in the reboot of the genre.
And Wasteland 2 combined a lot of features from earlier games
With Pillars of Eternity there is absolutely no denying that this is an Isometric RPG. Concerning the overall graphics style, gameplay, even in the letterfonts of the dialogue, it’s almost a direct copy of the Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 games.
