157After 2 sessions of success, one moment destroyed it all and brought total collapse and disaster to Burgundy. 1853 and we're already entering Joker-mode. It was one of the worst series of events we've ever seen in Victoria 2: a dodgy multi-province retreat in a crucial battle (which I'll show you and analyse in the intro to the stream), Bohemia & Bavaria both rolling a +5 attack general while I have nothing. Being the victim of actions which are against the rules on other servers: exclaving, chain-warring, separate declaring on spherelings. Getting peacetime mobilisation instantly so that the enemy could all declare on me. Bohemia still being able to use the Holy Roman Empire liberate imperial lands cassus belli after 1847, and then inexplicably forming the Elbian Confederation without Pomerania and Holstein because he just can I suppose.
The two Indian players declared on me during the disasters, but that's where I found a glimmer of hope and victory: after the European catastrophes, I sailed round, enlisting the help of Scandinavia (who is still safely eating the British Isles) and Batavia, and we crushed them. Colonies are no substitute for my industrial European cores, but Bengal is massive.
I considered calling the campaign quits, but Burgundy isn't completely lost and I will stay for now and see what session 4 can bring.
