Some people have theorized that language and more specifically vocabulary, limit culture intellectually. While this is just an idea, I think it includes some valuable insight into the deeper workings of human psychology. With each generation some things are lost forever while others are discovered and rapidly become fixtures in our reality. How often do these contrivances stack up to the greater external universe in regards to scalability and sustainability? Sometimes it takes over a century to realize that a path taken was actually a dead end all along.

In the hope of making civilization more reactive, I propose in this video the necessity of lifetime education. What may be obvious to the current generation is often obscure to the previous one; mainly because there is a truly massive information gap between the two. Additionally as people age they become less receptive to new technology, often for the simple reason that they just don't understand it, or its application in their changing world.

There's no reason to put all these old people out to pasture just yet.. all they really need is an up-to-date education! Some form of social service that works diligently to eliminate the current gap and prevent future gaps from occurring, primarily by educating older generations so that they more easily adapt to new technology while continuing to play a vital role in the progress of civilization.
