The King of Fighters XV - Story with Leona Heidern/Athena Asamiya/Kula Diamond
1Since I've played through the story with an all-male team previously (on the default difficulty, that is), I've decided to go at it again, this time with an all-female team (while dialing the CPU difficulty way down). And if you ask me, Leona's classic outfit coming back in a mainline KOF game (albeit as a digital-only bonus) is another expectation of mine that was shattered.
Fun fact: Out of the three SNK heroines featured here (who, by the way, all have first names that end with the letter "A"), Leona is the only one to have canonically won a KOF tournament (specifically, Team Ikari won the KOF 2003 tournament, only for Leona to brutalize her teammates Ralf and Clark in an Orochi-infused frenzy at the end of said tournament, thereby leading to her missing out on KOF XI as a result of the severe trauma she suffered from that particular incident).
Another fun fact: 'SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy', despite its rather silly nature, is actually canon and takes place some time after the events of KOF XIV but before the events of KOF XV. (I mean, given that Shermie of all people was brought back from the dead and all...)
