5The Last Cosmonaut game puts us in an eerily empty 1989 Soviet LK program Lunar base having awoken from stasis. We must explore the station to learn what happened to the crew.

In The Last Cosmonaut game After waking from stasis, we find we are in a very empty space station with no other crew to be found. We must navigate the maze like structure lunar base and try to piece together the events that took place and where are all the crew. As we learn the truth we must collect chips that enable us to code a keycard that we can use to escape the lunar base, but finding them will be a challenge in this maze of flickering lit corridors.
As the period is meant to be the late 80's, the games style is is very much how computer graphics were at that time. I liken them to the graphics of the Sinclair Spectrum 48k (my first computer), black and white and very basic complete with flickering VHS video recorder style effect. Nostalgia of my early gaming days aside, the feel of the game is very much like the first Alien film with many dimly lit corridors that all look the same.
The Last Cosmonaut game is a short horror game developed by Human Robot and available for free download on ItchIO. The game is around 10 minutes and the lack of a soundtrack does limit the the experience a little.
