The Last Of Us 2 Movie Version - Episodic Release Part 5 (2020 Video Game)

It is not a re-recording or edit of that movie but just presenting it in a way that might be easier to follow for people watching it before/during/after the HBO show. I've had some requests to release in this format too, as I did for the 1st game, so better late than never.

Years after the events of The Last Of Us, Joel and Ellie have been living a relatively happy and peaceful life in Jackson. Joel is now a father figure in Ellie's life and the two of them have adapted well to a normal life. But that peaceful existence will soon get turned upside down as we witness a contraversial story of revenge in a dark world filled with dark people, who will do anything for those they love.
Movie notes:
►What's included? - This is a playthrough of game with a deliberate attempt made to play in a cinematic way. That means traversing/fighting/editing in a way that tries to feel immersive and not so much like the game is being played, but a film being watched. It focuses on the main story and will exclude almost all optional content and collectibles, barring specific situations like the acoustic cover of "Take On Me" that appears in the game as an optional scene. I played with the HUD disabled and the aiming reticle on minimal. When off it's impossible to aim and aim-assist looks too mechanical and a small grey dot is a fair compromise for accuracy. There are some HUD prompts that I couldn't remove, some of them you cannot hide as they are needed for timing and such. But in general the visuals should be nice and clean, and a noticeable step up in quality and editing from the 1st movie I made in 2013 before I had much experience in the field. The camera unfortunately does not rotate 360 while moving so I can't have my usual front:back shots, as the character will always face away from the camera. I did my best to find cutting points that didn't feel too jarring and still showed progress. This game is very long (25 hours) and I did my best to condense it down while still keeping it as a complete experience that wasn't literally a mashup of cutscenes. You get to see plenty of gameplay and enjoy the environments/dialogue as well.
►Subtitles - There are no subtitles in this movie version because I am unable to edit things in a way that works while they are there. I often need to change around dialogue during gameplay to hide certain things and get the pacing right. Subtitles would mess up these moments. I also use tricks to try and hide visual elements when I can and again subtitles would be affected by these because they are hard coded. The game is just too long for me to type up 10 hours worth of subtitles and upload them alongside the video unfortunately. Apologies to those who need them, and I usually try to have them in but this time I chose to go without.
►The Story - This game has a very contraversial story, and it angered/disappointed some people. If you are one of those I would like to just say that I, as a content creator am just doing what I can to share the experience, and if the game is bad that is not my fault. There's been a lot of dislike/spam attacks on TLoU2 content, and while protesting the game in ways that could actually affect/damage the developer (boycotting, bombing on review sites), doing so on content creator's videos that are just sharing the game really isn't productive. I'd appreciate it if you judged it for the quality of the gameplay, editing and the effort as opposed to not liking the narrative and supported the content accordingly. If you disliked all that anyway, then that's fair play :)
