The story of The Last of Us Part II is a gripping tale of revenge, loss, and redemption set in a post-apocalyptic United States. It takes place four years after the events of the first game and follows two main characters: Ellie, who seeks vengeance for a murder, and Abby, a soldier caught in a conflict between her militia and a religious cult.
The narrative begins with Joel and Ellie living a relatively peaceful life in Wyoming. However, tragedy strikes when Joel is brutally killed by Abby, setting Ellie on a path of revenge. The game alternates between Ellie and Abby's perspectives, exploring their motivations and the consequences of their actions. Along the way, players encounter various factions, including the Washington Liberation Front and the Seraphites, as well as hordes of infected creatures.
